Public access to reliable solid waste service is an essential component of improved human health, safe environment and sustainable development. The primary objective of this work is to indicate how an economic study can be conducted on demand for municipal solid waste management (SWM) improvements so that the adverse effects of the solid waste in terms of economic, health and environmental impacts may be minimized. In this work were obtained estimates of households WTP for improved SW management services and marginal values for its attributes. The results of this book, therefore, have indispensable implication that any policy to bring about efficient solid waste management service in an area needs to include the demand side information should it yield fruition. Thus policy advisors on this public service might make use of this information for efficient and effective service provision.
