"You, Yes You!" is a short story about, Yolki, a young egg, who realizes that he is truly the golden light inside, as he goes through life's adventures that shed his exterior shell on piece at a time. Through this journey, he learns to overcome feelings of self-doubt and fear by practicing self-awareness, compassion, non-attachment and selflessness. By the end, Yolki is beaming with inner joy and is grateful to have gone through the ups and downs in his adventure, for without them, he would have never unearthed his true self.

Somya is a lawyer, professor, author, and mother who desires to impart the practical teachings of meditation, spirituality and self-awareness rooted in the vedanta philosophy to the youth and her peers in a modern and fun way. She was introduced to meditation and yoga at a young age, and continues to learn, practice and incorporate those teachings into all aspects of her life. From founding and running a legal technology company in New York City, to starting The Veda Club in Portland, Oregon, Somya has always been passionate about innovating, creating and helping those around her. When Somya's son was born she was inspired to distill the complex concepts of self-esteem, inner strength and empowerment into simple but effective stories, so that he could learn how to know his true self, build courage, and spread love through selflessness at a young age. Somya is passionate about equipping the youth with core principles to build long-lasting self-esteem, self-worth, and self-acceptance. Despite the look and feel of "You, Yes You!", this book is meant for all ages, races, ethnicities and faiths. It's meant to introduce to the youth, and remind the seasoned, that we all arrived here completely whole just as we are, each with a unique and distinct purpose. When she is not working, Somya enjoys spending her time with her family, traveling, playing music, and practicing yoga and meditation.
