Heavy metals were extracted from fruits and vegetables using Microwave digestion method and heavy metal concentrations were analyzed by using inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP MS). The concentrations of As; Cd; Fe; Ni; Pb; Zn; Cr; Cu and Hg detected in samples. These values were lower than those recommended by FSSAI and WHO joint limits except Spinach (Cu 5.10) and Banana (Pb 0.26, As 1.5).
