Considering the 21st-century children's characteristics, teachers need to realize the importance and necessity of educational technology integration, and understand how to use technology to facilitate student-centered instruction and achieve meaningful outcomes. Given educational technology effectiveness, impractical and insufficient curricula for pre-service teachers, and current inflexible conditions for in-service teachers, teacher education colleges need to provide pre-service teachers with practical activities using educational technologies prior to their teaching career.
