Sustaining angiogenesis is one of the hallmarks of cancer, which secure the supplement of nutrients and oxygen to the solid tumor and also allows cancer cells to secrete their toxic waste and migrate to other sites. Indicating that targeting and inhibition angiogenesis process may lead to a valid strategy for cancer prevention and therapy. As cancer cells are characterized by their resistance to cell death, selective apoptosis induction would be a promising approach for cancer therapy. Thus, it was interesting to find out the potential activity of Aquilaria crassna essential oils and the underling mechanism of beta-Caryophyllene action, by which mediates its anticancer properties.
