The present study aimed to detect the presence of Cryptosporidium among children with malignant diseases and was conducted to evaluate different laboratory methods that are used in Basra. Stool samples were collected from 106 patients children with malignant diseases, who attended to pediatric oncology center at specialist Basra children's hospital during the period from May 2015 to October 2015 include 60 males and 46 females whose ages between (2 months -14 years). Acid fast stain technique ( reference techniques )and their results were compared with those obtained with Enzyme Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) and Immunochromatographic (IC)test for the detection of parasite .Among 106 samples ,9(8.2%) and 15(14.2%) were positive by acid fast stain technique before and during chemotherapy respectively , when examined by IC test and ELISA 13(12.3 %) and 33 (31.1% )gave positive results in the same groups patients respectively.
