Genetic stability is considered one of the most important genetic tests used to ascertain the extent of genetic stability reached in plants; consequently, the goal of this research is to detect the degree of genetic stability of a group of superior okra lines under different climatic environments. Genetic stability is considered one of the most important genetic tests used to ascertain the extent of genetic stability reached in plants; consequently, the goal of this research is to detect the degree of genetic stability of a group of superior okra lines under different climatic environments. Hence, consisting of eight lines, three testers, their 24 hybrids and one commercial check GJOH-4 study was carried out under three consecutive environments at Regional Horticultural Research Station in randomized block design for estimate the heterosis, combining ability and stability parameters. In the present study. In the present study hybrids viz., NOL-17-6 × Arka Anamika (E1, E2 and E3); AOL-12-59 × Kashi Kranti (E1 and E2) and NOL-18-10 × Kashi Kranti (E2 and E3) were found promising for pod yield and its component traits on the basis of gca and sca effects supplemented with per se performance. Here non-additive gene action had greater role in the expression of most of the traitsunder study. Highly significant G × E interaction found for only two traits pod weight and number of dry seeds pod-1indicated differential response of genotypes to varied environments.
