In my mind, as a child, the world was a giant playground. A skinny, nature-loving child with tons of incredible amounts of energy, I was also considered to be a little flower child to my mother. My crazy, so-called "imagination" ran wild! Hello, my name is Samantha Kathleen Yarborough, but my family calls me Sky. My mother calls me Sky because my head is always lost in the clouds. Well, it is just me, my mother Lola, and sometimes my grandmother, Kathy, whom we visit often. I was born and grew up in the southeast of San Antonio, Texas. My grandmother Kathy did not live too far from us on Delaware Street. When I came over to visit her, Granny Kathy would always ask me if I made any new friends. I would talk to kids all the time in school in my neighborhood, but the kids my age were different from me. When I was young, I loved being outside in the sun, making mud pies, and finding new cool bugs in the tall grass, while other kids liked to stay inside all day playing video games. Honestly, I never felt alone because I always had people around me that others could not see for some unexplainable reason. My imagination was vivid, but I did not think about it too much when I was young. For some reason, I would have scenarios play out in my head of conversations with people that I have never met before. I would play with these imaginary people all day, never feeling alone.
