This book investigates Centre and Margin as an ideology in selected English and Arabic Novels. In its wide-ranging sense 'ideology' hints at a set of ideas and beliefs and leads to the main source from which it flows that is Critical Discourse Analysis. It is a field in analyzing any genre where power and ideology found. 'Centre' is represented by the hegemony of the white on the black, the domination of societyon women and the domination of men on women as well. The study is limited to analyse two novels. The first is an English one by the African American novelist Esabel Allende " Island Beneath the Sea" (2010). The second is an Arabic one by the Algerian novelist Ahlam Mosteganmi " The Black Suits You Well" (2012). An eclectic model of Van Leeuwen's SOCIAL ACTORS THEORY (2008) and Lakoff and Johnson's CONCEPTUAL METAPHOR THEORY (2003) is used in the data analysis. The study is contrastive.
