The work entitled "Microstructural parameters of polymers using X-ray diffraction method" documents the investigations carried out to obtain microstructural parameters in natural and man-made polymers. Silk are an intriguing of fibrous proteins that attracts a continued interest from various investigators. Because of its extensive use in the textile industry, it is of interest to know the structure property relationship with respect to protein folding and assembly. Textile fibers may be classified according their origin into two major categories (a) Natural (b) Man-made. The natural fibers are those derived directly from the animals, vegetables and mineral with the exception of silk. Natural fibers are those derived directly from the animals, vegetables and mineral with the exception of silk. The other major category of textile fibers is that of man-made fibers, which are manufactured from natural organic polymers, synthetic organic polymers or inorganic substances.
