A survey was conducted in Chiwang VDC of Rukum district during May, 2014 to assess the socioeconomic status and gender analysis of seed producers. Among 60 surveyed household there were 43.3 percent seed producers and 56.7 percent non- producers and a comparative study was conducted between them. Statistical Package of Social Sciences (SPSS) software was used for data entry and data analysis. Findings of the study revealed that average family size of households was 5.6 and it was found more in seed producing households (6.25). Dependency ratio was found more in non-seed producing households (0.758)
