This book compiles research work conducted in the distance education B.Ed. Program in Teaching English as a Foreign Language at Universidad Santo Tomás Colombia. The research work has the aim of unveiling the nature of the means and mediations in students language learning and autonomy in the program. Findings of this research work evidenced how students recognized the means and mediations of the program and their effectiveness for language learning autonomy. Based on these research findings, we propose an approach of distance language education.

Sandra Milena Rodriguez, and Martha Bonilla Mora hold a Masters Degree in Applied Linguistics and Education. The three authors are professors at the Faculty of Education of Universidad Santo Tomas Colombia and Universidad de La Salle Colombia.
