Autorenporträt
Sandra (Davison) Funcich has spent her last forty years in the family business as a hair stylist and salon owner in Westlake Village, CA. She and her husband Chris, also a hair stylist have been married for thirty-six years and have a daughter who resides in Florida with her husband and six year old son. When she isn't coming up with entrepreneurial ideas in the beauty industry, she is working on the screenplay and the sequel to her first novel. Funcich's life was forever changed after a traffic accident when she was twenty years old, leaving her with a horribly fractured femur. When she was just twenty-one, she was told if she ever walked again, it would be with a cane for the rest of her life. After experiencing a miracle and learning to walk again (without the trace of a limp), Funcich decided to fly to Aspen and try snow skiing and found that she loved it, becoming an avid skier mostly in the California mountains of Mammoth and Big Bear. Bear. With too many hilarious skiing stories to recount, Funcich decided to write a treatment in 1997 and tried to get it in the hands of Jerry Seinfeld. When that effort fell short, she packed the treatment away. When she recovered it after many years, she read it again with tears of laughter rolling down her cheeks. She decided to create four new characters around the ski trip and her first novel, Annie And The E's Go To Aspen was born.
