Brian C. Chu, PhD, is Professor and Department Chair of Clinical Psychology at the Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology, Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, where he is Founder and Director of the Youth Anxiety and Depression Clinic. Dr. Chu is a recipient of the Klingenstein Third Generation Foundation Young Investigator Award. He is a Fellow of the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies and past editor of Cognitive and Behavioral Practice. Dr. Chu's work focuses on anxiety and mood problems in children and adolescents, with a special emphasis on therapy processes, mechanisms of change, and dissemination of evidence-based practices. He collaborates with community organizations to optimize access to care for underserved and marginalized communities. Sandra S. Pimentel, PhD, is Chief of Child and Adolescent Psychology, Associate Director of Psychology Training, and Associate Professor of Clinical Psychology in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Montefiore Medical Center and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She is founder and director of the Anxiety and Mood Program, a specialty training program in the Child Outpatient Psychiatry Division. Dr. Pimentel serves on the editorial board of Evidence-Based Practice in Child and Adolescent Mental Health and is President (2023-2024) of the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies. As a scientist-practitioner, Dr. Pimentel specializes in cognitive-behavioral treatments for youth and young adults. She is a health advocate dedicated to creatively engaging communities to optimize care for children and families.
