There was a Pueblo revolt in 1680 against the Spaniards in New Mexico. This was due to a number of factors, most notabely the suppression of the native americans to spanish rule and religion.The spanish reconquered but gave the Pueblos a lot of leeway which later led to the tribes getting preferred treatment by the United States. This book gives vignettes (stories) of the Pueblo of San Ildefonso quest to be free from the United States Government interference in their religion, their culture, land and lives.
While Pueblo de San Ildefonso is adjoining Los Alamos National Laboratory, nothing in these vignettes references the Cassandra Project, nor are the vignettes from the Cassandra Project.
