The present research is done to study, to what extent the presently implemented scheduler Priority Queue (PQ) and Weight Fair Queue of IEEE 802.16, solves the issues like providing good reliability and minimum jitter with regard to 802.16 WiMAX protocols and what can be done to improve them further. To know the performance of network, the metrics used in the evaluation were traffic received, MOS value and average end-to-end delay for variable traffic load.
