Saskatoon Sâkâstêw Horse is a Cree writer and a member of the Thunderchild First Nation, Treaty #6 in Saskatchewan. She was born and raised on the west side of Saskatoon, SK. As a mother of five, she balances her roles as a wellness warrior, a student master of Nutrition & Detoxification, and the motherload itself. Despite facing challenges that intergenerational trauma leaves behind, Saskatoon has learned to advocate for herself and is driven by her passion for creating a better future for her children and generations to come. Through her creative projects, she hopes to inspire others to embrace their own intergenerational healing journey.
