Autorenporträt
Scott Stankavage is, at heart, a quarterback. At the University of North Carolina, he was on an ACC Championship team with Lawrence Taylor. As a member of the Denver Broncos, he played with John Elway, Tom Jackson and Gary Kubiak. He was coached by Dan Reeves, Mike Shanahan and Don Shula in a brief stint with the Dolphins. After football, Scott achieved career success in commercial real estate over the past 30 years in the Raleigh-Durham area. Active in the Durham, NC community, Scott has been on the Board of Directors for the local Pop Warner football organization, the Durham YMCA, the Catholic Diocese Bishop's Annual Appeal and Zoweh Ministries, a Christian men's outreach organization. He founded the Turning Point Adolescent Center, a mental health care agency for the underprivileged and has become active in the Raleigh-Durham chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Scott and his wife Kate have been married for 10 years and he is the father of seven children, ranging in age from 27 to 4. Scott is an avid golfer, enjoys fly fishing and is an inspirational speaker to businesses, schools, churches and men's groups.
