Selamawit Safisa Garedew was born in 1982 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.She attended her primary and secondary school in Addis Ababa.Then she has got her BA degree in 2000 from BahirDar University.She has received her MA degree in Linguistics in 2008 from Addis Ababa University. Since then she has been teaching linguistics in BahirDar University
