Autorenporträt
Sensei Beverly Bradley, founder of Underground Physique (Brooklyn based fitness and self-defense organization for women and children), is a personal trainer, and martial artist for over 25 years. She has a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, and self-defense training in Sanuces Ryu. In 2004, surveillance of the kidnapping of a young girl named Carlie Brucia, who was raped and murdered, prompted Sensei to volunteer self-defense classes to schools in the 5 boroughs of New York. She was dubbed "Crusader for Self-Defense" for her efforts by The New York Post. Sensei Bradley wanted to reach and teach as many children as possible. She came up with the idea of a SuperShero comic. This Shero would give tips on fitness, and self-defense while encountering thrilling adventures. To enhance her vision, Sensei Bradley received her BA in Health and Nutrition Sciences, and minor in African American Studies from Brooklyn College. Then continued her education with an MS in Health Communication for Social Change from CUNY Graduate School of Public Health & Health Policy. Her plan is to spread the knowledge to marginalized communities globally and will succeed via KILINDA SuperShero!
