Sergey Denissov studied biology at the Novosibirsk State University, Russia. He defended his PhD in Molecular Cell Biology at the Radboud Unversity Nijmegen. He is a researcher on the developmental epigenetic mechanisms at the Nijmegen Centre for Molecular Life Sciences, The Netherlands.
