This revised definition served as basis for a comprehensive approach to school health programs. It also set the stage to review the basic foundations and models that used to guide them. This review and quality assessment formed a standard for policy formulation, program development and long term planning.While terminology and definitions may differ, most of the world countries recognize and address three areas of school health: services, environment and education. Clearly, within each area several implications are elaborated leading to a comprehensive and coordinated approach to school health
