This study was designed to investigate the current status of vocational training for persons with disabilities in Pakistan and its relevance with market demand for placement of persons with disabilities. Sixty two special schools were selected through purposive sampling, located in Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi and Islamabad. The data was collected with the help of structured questionnaires. Hundred students suffering from visual impairment, hearing impairment, physical impairment and intellectual disability were also selected through convenient sampling and were interviewed to record their vocational plans, vocational aspirations, knowledge of job requirement and the program of vocational training offered by their schools. Fifty employers from various organizations selected through purposive sampling were interviewed to know the status of person with disabilities employed in their organizations, implementation of 2% quota reserved for persons with disabilities, nature and environment of job for persons with disabilities, and the attitude of employers towards employees with disabilities.
