Rapid industrialization ,urbanization and population growth management of solid waste in India s growing areas is a challenging problem current practices of unscientific waste dumping of domestic waste have created serious environmental and public health concern .This study attempts to serous municipal solid waste management (MSWM).This study attempts to Lucknow capital city of Uttar Pradesh ,by a primary survey of 150 households segregated on the basis of income and settlement profile .the entire study area was divided as A (low income group),B (medium income group),C (high income group),and living standard goes up .So quantity of solid waste increases in higher societies .prevailing scenario of waste handling practices and disposal is an alarming problem encountered by many of the urban and industrial area thus an integrated solid waste management in sustainable approach is therefore efforts should be made by active participation of community public and private agencies to solve this problem.
