Shannon D. Morgan is the youngest of eight children born of Richard and Glenda Green. Shannon has dedicated her life to being a mother of three children, a grandmother of nine amazing grandchildren.After Shannon retired from The OSU Wexner Medical Center in 2006. Shannon then pursued her dream in the culinary industry where she attended the Columbus Culinary Institute @ Bradford. Shannon graduated in the Spring of 2009 with an associate's degree in culinary arts and design. Immediately after receiving her degree in Culinary Arts Shannon began working in the food industry by working as a Private Chef for various clients in Columbus, Ohio. She then began catering numerous weddings, graduation parties, and special events. Shannon has worked under some of Ohio's finest Chefs in various food industries throughout her culinary career while continuing to grow, learn, and perfect her culinary knowledge and skill set. Shannon, however, could not ignore her inner voice, to help others in the homeless and lower incomed communities. In 2007 with the help of God Shannon started a Non-profit organization called C.H.E.F. (Cooking to Help Families). She would go out to Community Recreation Centers and local Food Pantries to offer free cooking demonstrations to educate families on how to stretch their food dollars while also educating them on how to shop the perimeters of the grocery stores. Shannon was featured on the local news station WBNS10tv pertaining to the C.H.E.F. Program in February 2012 on the Female Focus segment. In April of 2014 Shannon received a Volunteer of the Year Award from Eat'nPark Hospitality Group and in 2017. She also received an Achievement Award while working for Aramark at Capital University. Shannon continues to serve in the food industry. Shannon stepped out on faith sharing some of her writings in a poetry book. Shannon has been writing over the years as a hobby. She is a devout woman of God and is following her second passion which is to become a published author and someday motivating speaker. While Shannon serves the Lord, she continues to seek opportunities to serve the community and others through cooking and writing.
