Shandel, a native of the Republic twin island nation of Trinidad and Tobago is the author of children's book series The Awesome Adventures of Alfred. An established Biological Scientist working in the biopharma industry in research and development for Cell & Gene Therapy, he has taken a bold step to explore his passion for writing and storytelling. His keen interest in travel, food, culture and the arts has broadened his life experience, keeping it filled with immense colour and wonder. Throughout his life he has embraced his creativity, nurturing skills in drama, poetry, song-writing and public speaking. The debut offering - Alfred Goes to the Land of Fun alongside yet-to-be released works are the fruit of this lifelong love of writing and entertainment and provide a beautiful outlet for his playful imagination.
