Using photography, Robins Nesting follows a pair of robins from nest building through the fledging of their young. The text accompanying the photos is appropriate for emerging readers. Following this is a section that providers older children and parents with additional detailed information. The final section provides a hands-on backyard experience, illustrating how to build a nest just as a robin would do it.

Autorenporträt
I feel connected to life when I use my camera. It has opened for me a complex and incredibly beautiful world whether I'm taking a photo of a tiny flower or watching a baby bird fly away as an adult in only 2 weeks. During my teaching career, I loved exploring science with my elementary students. My favorite curriculum included the study of animals and plants in their natural habitats. As often as I could, I would take students on field trips to explore nature first hand. If we take time to observe and appreciate the natural world, we will come to understand the importance of protecting it.
