This book introduces basic concept of Synthesis and characterization of polymer based composites / nanocomposites for electronic applications in the field of Sensors and EMI Shielding. Nanostructured ZnO thin films can be grown by different methods such as pulsed Laser deposition, CVD, MOCVD, Sputtering, electrochemical deposition, sol-gel and spray pyrolysis. ZnO and CuO with anhydrous Zncl2 as an adsive agent followed by grinding in a mortar with ethylene glycol as a binder. Series of nanocomposites are prepared by using activated carbon in synthetic acrylic resin (AC: AR) using solvent Xylene. ZnO: PVP was prepared by sol.gel technique by solution processing technique and a series of nanocomposites were prepared. Ag: PVP was prepared by sol-gel technique at different percentages and series of nanocomposites were obtained. The nanocomposites structural, physical, morphological, thermal, EMI shielding and electrical properties were analysed by different sophisticated analytical techniques like X- ray diffraction, UV-VIS, Raman spectroscopy, FTIR, EDX,TGA, SEM, EMI shielding technique, dialectical and two-probe dc conductivity technique etc.
