Autorenporträt
Shawn M. Bohannon, an award-winning Air Force technical sergeant, is the historian of the Air Force's largest bombardment organization, the 2d Bomb Wing. John Andrew Prime, a journalist for nearly a quarter-century with the Gannett-owned paper The Times, covered the base for many years and grew up in its shadow. H.D. Buck Rigg, an aviation artist and a civil servant at the base, is the director of the Eighth Air Force Museum. Their combined perspectives have led to the creation of an intriguing pictorial history, one that will allow both everyday citizens and men and women in uniform to share their pride in this national treasure-Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana.
