I am the producer of the feature film JUNKIE (inspired by true events) and have written two books. Prior to writing and producing films I worked as a substance abuse counselor for many years. The JUNKIE films and books gave me an outlet to reach more people at once with a message, "Anyone can change with the right amount of heat." My first book, "JUNKIE: Broken Wings" is the true story that inspired the film, it was published by Believe In Your Dreams publishing. It explores the struggle of addiction and finding recovery from a female point of view. My second book, "JUNKIE II: Firefly" explores the struggle of addiction from the action packed male point of view. It's technically a sequel to the film, but it also makes a great stand alone story for anyone who has not seen the film or read the first book. JUNKIE III is coming next, so climb aboard the JUNKIE train now, you've got some catching up to do :)
