Sheena Roberts has lived for over 40 years in Newfoundland, Canada. She spent her formative years in London, Ontario, graduating with a music degree from Western University before moving with her husband, first to London, England and then on to Detmold, Germany. After spending time studying and teaching, performing and travelling, they returned to Canada where Sheena established a large music studio for piano students ages 3 to 83. In addition to teaching, she adjudicated music festivals, directed summer music camps, accompanied, and wrote educational articles for her studio families. She also co-authored a book on the Suzuki Piano Method. Sheena was diagnosed with Early Onset Parkinson's halfway through her teaching career. Along the way, she was introduced to poetry writing and became fascinated with the idea of being able to encapsulate emotions and experiences in as few words as possible. Sheena won 1st prize in the 2024 Sparks Poetry Contest of Newfoundland and Labrador. She currently lives in Mt. Pearl, NL with her husband of 50 years.
