Dr. Indiana Robinson is the author of over 90 books covering education (teaching Patois in the classroom), APA academic writing, children's works, biography, history of Jamaica, visual arts, poetry, music, novellas, ancestry, proverbs, herbs, and storms. She is also an educator who earned her doctorate in education over a decade ago. ¿ Temping at a speech-language facility for children with autism. ¿ Tutoring at the elementary school level with the America Reads Federal Work Study program. ¿ Mentoring high school students in the Take Stock in Children (TSIC) Broward County youth program. ¿ Teaching high school students career discipline in the Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) Work Force One program. Her experience spans stints in the following areas: ¿ Attaining three graduate degrees - two master's degrees and a doctorate degree. ¿ Studying international business at the master's & doctoral levels. ¿ Training teachers of all levels at a higher education institution. ¿ Certifying as a Human Resources Professional with HRCI. ¿ Becoming a Society for Human Res. Mgmt. (SHRM) member. ¿ Assisting professors at the doctoral level in Trends and Issues and SPED Law and Governance courses. ¿ Presenting at conferences on non-persisting students, on motivation vs. inspiration, and on art and APA in Dr. Charlene Desir's research class (RES 8100). Dr. Robinson earned her two bachelor's degrees from Florida Atlantic University (Magna Cum Laude), her two master's degrees from H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship, and her doctoral degree from the Fischler College of Education at Nova Southeastern University. Born to parents David Harrison and Louise Perry, she and her siblings Edgar, Fernandie, Arthur, and his sister Sharon were raised in Kingston, Jamaica. Dr. Robinson is married to Jackie Robinson, lead singer of the Pioneers Reggae Group. With no children of her own, she cherishes her stepchildren Bobby, Marc, and Kelly and their offsprings, Saffron, Sasha and her son Sachon, Shae, Marley, and Joseph King, as well as her nieces and nephews: Marsha, Rohan Sean, and Dean Hibbert; Major Carlington Reid (Ret.), and former 2nd Lt. Tara and Errol, Jr Price; and Krisan and Captain (Ret.) Caniggia Harrison and their collective offspring:
