Dr. Charles H. Clark Jr., is a proven data driven decision maker with 25 years of experience in K-12 education, community college and university settings. He graduated from Humbolt High School in 1978. He received an A.S. in Sociology from Jackson State Community College and then attended Lambuth University to pursue his B.A. in Sociology and History. In 1993, he traveled to Nashville to attend Trevecca Nazarene University. There he received his M.A. in Counseling and Psychology. His love for learning led him to Freed Hardeman to obtain a M.A. in Curriculum and instruction. In 1999 he received his endorsement in Administration Supervision Prek-12. He then ventured to Union University where he acquired his Education Specialist degree and his Doctorate in Education. Dr. Charles H. Clark Jr. strengths include proactive servant leadership, curriculum/ instruction, communication, presentation skills, creating a community of learning, creating collaborative teams, problem solving and strategic planning, data based decision making, parental engagement and strategies for student achievement. He is National Board Certified, a Cognitive-Behavioral Therapist, and Certified Domestic Violence Counselor. He holds licenses for elementary (1-8 middle grade specialist) Psychology (9-12, ) Administration ( PreK-12.) He is also a Certified Poverty Trainer (Ruby Payne Framework for Understanding Poverty) and a Certified TEAM Trainer (teacher observation process.)
