The rapid growth in energy demand is causing pressure on the energy supply side in Bhutan especially in Winter when the hydropowers are at their minimum. The author has Bachelors in B.Tech Electrical Engineering from MNIT, India and Masters in Energy Economics and Management from Graduate School of Business, Curtin University, Western Australia. He works as a Deputy Executive Engineer to promote Renewable Energy, Energy Efficiency and Energy Conservation in Department of Renewable Energy in Bhutan.
