In addition, level of markers of oxidative stress were evaluated by measurement of malonaldehyde level and nitric oxide to asses oxidative damage induced by indomethacin as well as measurement of the antioxidant enzymes in both gastric and hepatic tissues. Moreover, DNA damage was evaluated by the alkaline comet assay.
