There is an urgent need to shift from collection to cultivation of medicinal and aromatic plants to ensure purity, authenticity and sustainable supply of raw materials, required for herbal drugs, including polyherbals. Agrotechniques should be developed for a large number of medicinal plants, so that almost all the farmers will take initiative in the cultivation of medicinal plants in every country. Constant and sincere efforts are to be made to standardize the cultivation practices of economically viable medicinal plants. Not only this but efforts also be concentrated on improvement of their yield by using different strategies. Out of the above mentioned medicinal plants, cultivation of Senna is highly economical and hence very popular among the farmers.

Awarded Ph.D. in Botany from Pune University in 2012. She awarded UGC Meritorious Student Research Fellowship and Sakal India Foundation's Scholarship during her Ph.D. research work.
