The main objective of this book is the performance analysis of solar photovoltaic system employed with single axis tracking system and dual axis tracking system for an educational building (Ujjain Engineering college) in Ujjain [23.14494°N, 75.79442°E]. The study is carried out to estimate the resource potential of the location and predict and compare the performance of 100kW solar PV rooftop system using single axis and dual axis system through simulation. The performance factors taken into consideration are monthly mean of daily irradiations, energy yield and performance ratio. Breakdown of losses at each step is also done to understand the efficiency of each step. From the total annual yield of 1139.34kWh/kWin case of dual axis tracking based system in comparison to 1003.5kWh/kW in case of single axis based system, it is very clear that the former is more efficient and is able to produce more output in comparison to the latter.Dual axis tracker is more reliable installation than the single axis as the performance ratio of dual axis tracker was consistently good.SISIFO proves to be reliable, easy and fast software tool for the simulation of solar PV system.
