Siv Helen Hesjedal holds a Masters of Arts in Sociology from Rhodes University. Hesjedal works for the Eastern Cape Socio- Economic Consultative Council in East London, South Africa, where she is a programme manager. She is also a social activist, interested in political and historical sociology and political economy.
