Simon Tookoome has an international reputation as an artist. Although he speaks no English, he manages to communicate eloquently through his art. Simon's special understanding of animals and the land, along with the wisdom he learned from his uncle the shaman, make this book an exotic and moving read. Far more than that, his story is an heirloom to his people and a great gift to us all. Tookoome lives in Baker Lake near the Arctic Circle.
