In the Bible there are many different forms of the word "day" which get translated into the English word "day". We go through the old testament to discover the different forms of the Hebrew that get translated as "day" and suggest a more appropriate definition. These better definitions shed light on a number of different verses in the Bible and suggest that the beginning of the day as per the Bible is different to what we currently observe. There is a new insight in what may have happened in the Garden of Eden. This is the first part. There will be more parts as we proceed on through the Bible.
