The study entailed herein provides new insights into developmental factors within the furniture sub-sector that may be used in the formulation of policies, intervention strategies and measures that will enhance the sub- sector involvement in the industrialization process. Hence, the study suggests intervention measures that can be directed to the sub-sector in clusters to exploit the collective efficiency approach theory and the 'Fordist' mass production theory.

Nganga, Stephen Irura es un estudiante de doctorado en Planificación y Gestión de Proyectos en la Universidad de Maseno, profesor titular y Ag. Dean School of Business Karatina University College, tiene un MPhil. Licenciado en Empresariales, Msc. en Tecnología de Industrias Forestales y ha publicado libros y artículos. El profesor Kerre y el profesor Kibas supervisaron este trabajo.
