Author Stephanie L. Dukes is a graduate of Florida State University and a retired educator. Coauthor Essie N. Helper Morgan, also a retired educator, is a graduate of the Florida Agriculture and Mechanical University and a longtime resident of Mulberry. This book uses photographs courtesy of the Mulberry Historical Society, the chamber of commerce, the Mulberry Phosphate Museum collection, the Mulberry Press archives, and images from local family collections to tell the story of Mulberry.
