This research focuses on ranking methods in search engine environment. Ever growing Web population requires more accurate, logical and feasible ranking and searching method. This thesis works on different techniques and parameters to produce ranking from different angle. In present day scenario Web literacy is must for everyone as all required information are available in Web. Hence, collecting information from the Web based repository is highly important. Introduction of Search Engine is a good solution to this situation. Using Search Engine one can search and fetch any information available in Web. In this regard, proper ranking or prioritization of available Web pages is highly desirable. In this research thesis different ranking procedures are introduced based on different parameters of a Web page. In some situations, users need a realistic and non-deterministic approach. Multi-agent based system is introduced for that purpose in this dissertation. Session in a Web page is inspected to avoid noise intrusion. Prediction based Web page ranking mechanism is constructed on server side and client side to make the procedure more dynamic. A relationship is formed between Web page energy consumption and rank. In this research thesis different ranking procedures are introduced based on some different parameters of a Web page. In some situations, users need a realistic and nondeterministic approach. Multi-agent based system is introduced for that purpose in this dissertation. The main objective of this thesis is to propose efficient ranking techniques in Search Engine environment.
