Autorenporträt
Suzanne Anoushian was raised in a family of art directors and designers. Her love affair with design and illustration began at an early age, at the High School of Art and Design in New York City, then Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York, and continues in her current roles of practicing professional and educator. She began her professional career in advertising, as an art director at Doyle Dane Bernbach and Marsteller Advertising in New York. In 1979, she established Suzanne Anoushian Design, specializing in graphic design and illustrative services for a number of clients, primarily in the food-related area of public relations — some of which remain active clients today. Ms. Anoushian has also had a long career in higher education spanning more than 25 years at Fashion Institute of Technology, Parsons School of Design and Pratt Institute. She has taught both traditional classroom and distance learning classes, and she has written curriculum in graphic, advertising, and packaging design. She currently serves as Assistant Professor and Chair of the Communication Design Department at FIT.
