The study was performed to use easily available microorganisms for the production of enzymes especially lipase which are mainly used for many industrial pupose like in the food, detergent, pharmaceutical, leather, textile, cosmetic, and paper industries. In the present scenario its role in reducing the oill spill problems by degrading them into smaller units was studied. To increase its production as well as enzyme activity by Myroides odoratimimus solid state fermentation process was carried out. Lipase produced from Myroides reduced the concentration of diesel in the soil. Hence Myroides species can be cultured more and can be used in large for the bioremediation process. This species were isolated from chicken liver which showed so much of applicative property without any contagious affect to the individuals handling it. This was a preliminary approach towards biodegradation of spilled oils.
