The climbing perch, Anabas testudineus (Bloch.) is a well known air-breathing food fish of North Bihar, which generally inhabits the fresh and brackishwaters of Bihar and Bengal. In the present book emphasis has been made on how the various abiotic factors such as seasonal temperature, photoperiod and salinity and biotic factors, like density of the animal affect growth of Juvenile A. testudineus. Energetics of the juveniles have been made at two different seasonal temperatures of summer and winter. These parameters have direct impact on the development of fish culture operations and management.
