The proposed online-based malnutrition-induced anemia detection smartphone app is designed to remotely measure and monitor anemia and malnutrition in humans using a non-invasive method. This painless method enables user-friendly measurements of human bloodstream parameters such as hemoglobin (Hb), iron, folic acid, and vitamin B12. It accomplishes this by embedding intelligent image processing algorithms that analyze photos of the fingernails captured by the smartphone camera.

K. Sujatha is currently working as a Professor in the EEE Department at Dr. M.G.R Educational and Research Institute, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. She has 20 years of teaching experience in various engineering colleges. She completed her BE in 1999 from Bharathiyar University, her ME in 2004, and her Ph.D. in 2011 from Anna University.
