Application of sole chemical fertilizers has laid deleterious effect on fertility and productivity status of the soil. Moreover, insufficient use of organics has created deficiencies of secondary as well as micronutrients, like Zn and Fe. Conjunctive use of organic and inorganic sources of plant nutrients in balanced proportion would help to sustain the productivity and biological health of the soil.
