The overall objective of the study is to analyze the tourism sector through the lens of gender, socio-economic and cultural dynamics. Concurrently, the study also aimed to identify and simultaneously integrate specific target groups for the Great Himalaya Trail Development Program (GHTDP) with the aim that these specific target groups would benefit economically through GHTDP. To ensure the representation of women and excluded groups in the study, the study targeted communities with Janajati, Chhetri/Brahmin/, and Dalit population. Data collection methods included key informant interviews with Young Star Club, the Local Capacity Builder (LCB) for GHTDP, Local Development Officer (LDO), and entrepreneurs involved in the tourism sector, particularly the study area has been focused in the three settlements like Pattale, Aangpang and Junbesi VDC's. Aspects related to poverty reduction, gender relationship, natural heritage, natural resource utilization pattern, power and knowledge inequality, motivation of women and segregated castes were prioritized while carrying out FGD's. Similarly, interviews were also used as a method to collect information on socio-cultural aspects of the GHT.
