Susan L. Leary is a Lecturer in English Composition at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, FL, where she lives with her husband, Sean, and their two pups, Ellie and Mayah. Her poetry has been published in many print and online journals, including Into the Void, The Christian Century, Arcturus (Chicago Review of Books), After the Pause, Posit Journal, Gone Lawn, Burningword Literary Journal, and SWWIM (Supporting Women Writers in Miami), among others. Her work has been nominated for both the Pushcart Prize and Best of the Net and has been a finalist or semi-finalist for various other awards, including the Elyse Wolf Prize and The Heartland Review Press Chapbook Prize.
